Why we text you about your door measure

You gave your number to book this work
Lex Millwork is the installer The Home Depot assigns to measure and install doors ordered through The Home Depot stores it serves. When you buy a door from The Home Depot and request an in-home measure, you give The Home Depot your mobile number so the work can be scheduled. The Home Depot passes your order, including that number, to Lex Millwork as the assigned installer.
The Home Depot tells customers this happens. Its Privacy & Security Statement lists, among the sources of customer information,
“Companies that provide services on our behalf (e.g., installers and others that may communicate with you about products or projects).”
and says it may contact customers “for transactional purposes like confirming or following up on an order or service request.” Read the full statement at homedepot.com/privacy.
We use your number only to schedule and confirm the measure and installation you ordered. We text you about that order, from the same number we call from, (631) 906-7837.
The first message tells you who we are and how to stop
Every first text names Lex Millwork and The Home Depot order it is about, and ends with Reply STOP to opt out. For example:
Hi, this is Annie with Lex Millwork, the installer for your Home Depot door order. We just tried calling to schedule your in-home measure. Call or text us back at (631) 906-7837 with a day that works. Msg&data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out.
If you reply STOP, we stop texting that number for every order, not just this one, and we call you instead.
Texts are not a condition of anything
Receiving texts is not required to book, keep, or complete your appointment, and it is not a condition of any purchase. Opting out simply means we reach you by phone or email.
What we send
Only messages about your own door measure and installation: a note when we tried to reach you to schedule it, a confirmation when it is booked, a reminder before it, a confirmation if it is moved, and replies to messages you send us. We never send marketing or promotional texts.
Message frequency varies by order. A typical order involves fewer than eight messages in total. Message and data rates may apply. Those charges come from your mobile carrier, not from us.
Stopping messages
Reply STOP to any message and the texts stop. You will get one confirmation, then nothing further. Reply START to resume, or HELP for help. Opting out does not cancel your appointment, so call us if you need to change it.
